BFN (big fat negative)s
If you have been monitoring my chart, you know that I have been obsessively peeing on sticks again. Each one has been a clear negative, not even the slightest hint of a faint line...
On the other hand, if you have been following the temps on my chart, you will also notice that I have, as Fertility Friend calls it, a "possibly triphasic chart", which can indicate pregnancy.
And yet, on one more hand (don't you wish you had three hands???), I have been religiously taking my Prometrium every 12 hours as directed, and we all know that the temp rise after ovulation is caused by the rise in progesterone levels, so my rise might just be that.
All this to say, I don't know. In my gut, I don't think it worked this cycle and I just want to get going on the next cycle..I am supposed to hold out until Tuesday to test (both according to Fertility friend and my nurse), so I will test once more Tuesday morning with FMU (first morning urine) and if negative, stop the Prometrium and expect AF soon...
Thus ends the IUI cyle #1 update.

Katrina - Just avoiding some work I have been putting off for weeks and must be done before I start a new work week and decided to check in on your blog. I guess the only thing I have to say is that it is a good thing that your "gut" can be wrong on this sort of thing. On my 2 confirmed pregnancies, I have documented proof of having the same feeling, that it was a no go. On others, I was unsure and they really were negative. I know your cycle is yours and NOT all about ME, ME, ME, and you have to do what you feel is best, but "I" would feel better if you waited until at least 16 dpo before going off the progesterone if you are relying on HPT's and not having a blood test. I can see how this could just be prolonging the agony a bit longer, but since your progesterone is low (like mine) once you stop it you likely will get your period even if your HCG was just too low to show up yet on a HPT. Okay, I have said my piece. I am so hoping that your roller coaster cycle really has worked. Ugh, this process is just so hard and so emotional. Thinking of you and hoping for the best.
I hear you Debbie. I really do. I WANTED to go in for a blood test, but the nurse kept saying that no, an HPT would be fine. I think I might call tomorrow morning just to see if they would let me take a blood test in the afternoon since I will be in Seattle anyway. How can it hurt them? It takes only like 5 minutes and I pay them like a hundred dollars..LOL Don't they want my money?? LOL
Then I will feel better about stopping the progesterone on Tues. I really do want to stop it sooner than later, if for no other reason then the timing of next cycle...I get so crampy in the evenings, I am just absolutely positive that without the progesterone AF would already be here...oh who knows.
Hope you were able to convince them that a blood test was the way to go. I'm with you, what...they don't want your money? Like what is it to them if you want to get a blood test. I'm sure there HAS to be a good margin on it. Oh well, like so many things in this process, there often aren't good answers and it is hard. Debbie
