I began my TTC journey in January 2005. It finally worked with the 5th IUI and along came Eliana! I started trying for a second (T42) a little over a year later, and was thrilled to get pregnant on the second try this time. Jacob soon joined our family! Not sure if I am done at two, but come along for my journey in motherhood. If you stop by, please leave me a short note! I like to know when I have visitors. :)

NO!!!

ARGH! So, I just made another post that I was attempting to email in and as I pressed send, I said to myself, I should have copied that...what if it didn't work. And sure enough, immediately I get an email telling me it didn't work.....

I am too annoyed and tired right now to re-type. Will do it sometime tomorrow.

Anyone out there have any advice/tips on emailing posts?

No tips on posting with email. Haven't even thought about trying to attempt it, but wanted to let you know that your text should still be in your "sent mail" even if you did get a mail failure. You should be able to go over to the sentmail folder and retrieve it. Hope that helps. Good luck! Debbie

I've only done it a couple of times. I just tried a couple on my own blog, and they're not showing up when I go to the edit posts screen from blogger.com.

I looked in the Blogger Knowledge section and got this:

The format of the email address is username.secretword@blogger.com. Note that this email address must be kept secret. Unless you want your blog to be spammed, that is.

Also be sure to specify whether or not you prefer your email posts to publish automatically or saved as drafts to be published later.

Once you have saved your Settings, you can send email to your blog. The subjects of your email letters will be the titles of your posts, and the body of the emails will be the posts themselves.

Here's what it'll look like when configured:

Note that by default Mail-to-Blogger only posts to your blog. If you wish for it to publish as well, you'll need to click the Publish option (in the above screenshot).

Notes:

* Sometimes email programs append text to the bottom of each sent message; to make sure this cruft doesn't get posted to your blog, put #end at the end of your post.
* Mail-to-Blogger does not yet work with image attachments.

Hope this helps! Good luck.

Thanks Deb and Carrie. I will try again to email it tonight (and try to remember to save it this time before sending). Unfortunately, I am trying to send it from a web-based email (praize.com) and it doesn't automatically save sent mail. I am doing this because I won't be able to access my outlook while at my parent's house......grrrrr

I don't know if this means anything, but the test email post I sent to my blog this morning at 10:28 just posted at 18:17. Only about 8 hours behind. Woot!

Yeah, so much for real-time posting on-the-go. I know that Blogger's been having some db/server issues. Maybe this is part of the problem.

More information on the posting via email. My plain text email posted about 8 hours after I sent it. My HTML email was rejected for invalid content type.
