I began my TTC journey in January 2005. It finally worked with the 5th IUI and along came Eliana! I started trying for a second (T42) a little over a year later, and was thrilled to get pregnant on the second try this time. Jacob soon joined our family! Not sure if I am done at two, but come along for my journey in motherhood. If you stop by, please leave me a short note! I like to know when I have visitors. :)

So confused...

Well, after I lost those 2 pounds last week to get me down to -20, I decided I needed a reward. Carrie kept raving about the Sims 2 and since I really enjoyed the Sims, I decided, that would be a good reward. So, I ordered the Sims 2 online. Now, today, I was up at 7 and worked hard and finished all my assignments for this week's modules. I have two papers (one page each) to write for Monday night, a lesson plan for a presentation for Monday night, and all of next week's modules to work on, but I worked so hard this morning, I deserve a break right? AND, my copy of the Sims 2 just arrived.....so.........I think my school work is going to have to wait. :)

Ha! I've brought you to the darkside! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. We probably won't be hearing from you for a while...lol.

hehe I have been to the dark side before...it is very difficult to get out of sometimes;)

Seriously though, computer games should be a whole new diet craze as I can sit and play for hours and forget to eat until I get to the point that I am dizzy and shaking. I have blood sugar issues at the best of times...imagine when I FORGET to eat. haha

Anyway, I have been enjoying but must get to work now.
:(

By the way, do you know the answer to this...my sim character as a teenager was all hot and heavy with his girlfriend, and then when he became an adult and wanted to try to marry him off...he doesn't get the option of kiss or anything to the same girl...he only gets this option when talking to boys??? hahaha It is REALLY weird..

I've always wanted to try the Sims. However, I become addicted to every game I like (Pharoah/Cleopatra kept me up 24/7 for three days once!) So, let me know how you like it, and I'll keep it in mind for Xmas break ;)

oh Tsarina, I absolutely understand your addiction...I get started and don't stop, not even to eat! I loved Pharoah by the way, haven't played Cleopatra. Before I got the Sims 2, I was playing Emperor which I enjoy. Haven't finished it yet, so will get back to it sometime!:)

Katrina, the thing about your sims is that they can only be romantically involved with someone of the same "age bracket" for lack of a better word. So when your teenage sim falls in love with another teenage sim, everything is fine and dandy. You become an adult and you're still friends with the other guy/girl, but can't woo-hoo or get married or any of those other fun things. One pretty easy way to tell if someone is a teenager or an adult is in your relationships area, the heads that go all the way to the top of the frame are adults. :)

The other issue with this is that in the game the only sims who age are the ones on the lot you're actually playing.

I have one neighbourhood where I have several families I created, and if I don't play each of them from time to time, I end up with one house full of elders and everyone else is still teenagers.

My husband's been laughing at me because I'm playing the most messed up family right now. I've kept all the generations living in one enormous house together. I started with Ajay and Jessica, who got married and had Michaela and Carolina. Michaela married Lazlo and they have 2 sons, Jonah and Lenny. Carolina married Sam and they have one daughter, Marta. Ajay and Jessica have both died of old age. I have an urn in the living room and a tombstone in the back yard. Ajay has come back as a ghost and scares the pee out of the living sims (literally -- it's pretty funny to watch).

Have I been playing this too much? lol

How has your week been going? Haven't heard much from you. Still doing okay with your weight loss? How did the doctor visit go?

I finally made an update about the doctor's appointment. As for the weight loss, it is so incredibly slow...it feels non existant most of the time. But, I am not gaining, and I am usually losing 1/2 to 1 pound a week...guess we will see what tomorrow brings (my weigh in day).
