I began my TTC journey in January 2005. It finally worked with the 5th IUI and along came Eliana! I started trying for a second (T42) a little over a year later, and was thrilled to get pregnant on the second try this time. Jacob soon joined our family! Not sure if I am done at two, but come along for my journey in motherhood. If you stop by, please leave me a short note! I like to know when I have visitors. :)

Holly Homemaker

That's right. You can just call me Holly Homemaker today as I am whipping up batches of fruits and veggies for Eliana. I bought a ton of things to make: squash, zucchini (which apparently is a squash..I didn't know that), sweet potato, carrots, pears, apples, plums, nectarines, avocado and apricots. It certainly is easier than I thought it would be, at least so far. I got the nectarines and the plums done during her afternoon nap and plan on getting the apricots and maybe the pears done tonight. I gave her a nectarine cube for supper and she loved it. :)

......

As for this past week. I did survive of course...but it was just so sad leaving her at day care every morning. It has also messed up her schedule even more, if that is possible. I have to wake her up at 6:00 to take her to the sitter's and then she won't go back down to sleep until 8:00. Two very cranky hours with the sitter apparently. Hopefully we will get this worked out soon enough.

Tuesday is the first day of school with kids. I am not ready and yet I am heading out to play at the fair tomorrow LOL. OH well, Monday we will have to go to school to finish up getting the classroom ready. Hopefully Eliana will let me get some things done!

......

Oh, and Friday we had her 6 month appointment (even though she won't be 6 months until tomorrow). She weighed 14lb3oz (but she had a 4 oz bottle like 5 minutes before...) and was 24 inches tall (or rather, short). He said she seemed to be doing fine, suggested we decrease the cereal a bit to help with her constipation and add a second meal of fruits and/or veggies. So, we will start fruits/veggies at lunch time as well. She was a real trooper with her shots. She cried with the first poke, silent cried through the last three and actually smiled at the lady before we got out of the room! I couldn't believe it! LOL

What a tiny girl she is. She was soooo cute in that last picture you posted.

We've been back in school for three weeks already, and it's going pretty well for me. I've gotten us on a pretty good schedule as far as pumping and bottle feeding. It hasn't gotten a lot easier for me, and I've been back at work for a month now!!

She is absolutly ADORABLE! I can't believe how big she is getting! Such a cutie pie :) We go back on Tuesday as well and trust me when I say that I am NOT looking forward to it. I've enjoyed the whole "vacation" life style way too much this summer!
